Safety markings on the frame of a working loom

Job Work

A real revenue line, and one most of the trade does not advertise. If you have yarn or beams and need them woven to construction, this is the page for you.

How it runs

Four steps, and the material never changes hands.

The whole model in one line: what you send stays yours, we do the work, and the record proves it.

  1. Your material

    Yarn or beams in

Received against your lot. Checked in, weighed, and kept separate from our own stock.

  2. Our work

    Sizing

Drawn onto beams and sized. Size pick-up recorded against the beam.

  3. Our work

    Weaving

Run to your construction across our loom network. Cuts booked back to the beam.

  4. Your material

    Goods back

Returned as cloth or bales, with the account: what came in, what went out, what it became.

Ownership does not change at any point. Your yarn stays your yarn — we are only ever selling you the work.

Straight answers

The questions buyers actually ask.

No forms to fill in to find this out.

Whose material is it?
Yours, throughout. We receive against your lot, keep it separate from our own stock, and return it as goods. We are selling you sizing and weaving, not fabric.
What do you need from us?
The yarn or the beams, and the construction: ends, picks, reed, width. If you send yarn, we raise the beam. If you send beams, we go straight to the loom.
How do we know what happened to it?
Every step is booked. Beam against your yarn lot, cuts against the beam, goods against the cuts. You get the account of what came in, what went out, and what became of the difference.
What comes back?
Cloth or bales, to your packing requirement. Grey unless you have asked us to send it on for processing.
Can you take small runs?
Yes. We work across a network of weavers rather than a single shed, which is what makes a short run possible at all.

Have yarn sitting idle?

Send us the count, the quantity and the construction you want. We will tell you what we can run it at and when.
